Here's what we were working with - overgrown shrubs swallowing the front of the house, weeds filling every gap, and beds that had basically lost all definition. The whole front yard just looked heavy and neglected. It's the kind of thing that's easy to let go year after year, but at some point it crosses a line where routine maintenance won't cut it anymore. This one had crossed that line.

We cleared everything out. All of it. Pulled the overgrown plants, cleaned out the weed growth, and started fresh. That's the only way to do this right - you can't just trim your way out of a situation like this. Once the beds were cleared and regraded, we rebuilt them from scratch with a clean edge and a plan that would actually hold up long-term.

For the finish, we went with river stone and fresh compact shrubs spaced out to keep things simple and structured. Stone is a great call for low-maintenance situations - it doesn't break down like mulch, it suppresses weeds well with the right barrier underneath, and it gives the beds a clean, finished look that holds up season after season. We carried the same treatment around the side of the home too, which tied the whole property together instead of leaving one side looking like an afterthought.

The difference is hard to miss. The brick foundation is visible again, the beds have clean hard edges, and the house actually looks like it's been taken care of. That's what a full landscape installation does - it doesn't just clean things up, it resets the entire feel of the property. No more fighting with weeds every few weeks. No more shrubs blocking windows.

Jobs like this one in Carlisle are exactly what we're built for. When a yard has been neglected long enough that it needs a full reset, that's where we do our best work. Clear it out, rebuild it right, and leave it in a state that's easy to maintain going forward.
